How do you sell margarine to people culturally predisposed towards butter? Simply call it “makhhan” and hope that 99% of them wont know the difference! It works, just like dalda/palm oil is/was the new ‘ghee”.

Proof is in the fact that most of the butter naans sold in Delhi are made with margarine, a cheap cocktail of chemicals artificially made to resemble butter.

Don’t get fooled again, be mindful of what you eat. It helps to ask questions, do research, and be plenty aware.
